MISSION
To facilitate communication amongst instructors in the area of pre-clinical optometric methods and procedures (PRE-COMP) at the schools and colleges of optometry.
OBJECTIVES
• Exchange of syllabi and schedules, teaching objectives and laboratory manuals.
• Discussions regarding the impact of new teaching methods, use of technology and case-based learning, laboratory design and faculty-student ratios.
• This group will be able to undertake research to evaluate new educational methodologies and interventions.
• The group will provide a valuable resource for new schools being established, as well as for existing schools and colleges of optometry around the world.
