To provide nationally centralized communication and support for faculty and graduate students engaged in education and patient care, to improve communication among instructors of the SIG at school and colleges of optometry, to facilitate discussion among SIG members on issues that affect clinical programs, instruction and curricula at each school and college, and the profession at large, to advise the ASCO Board of Directors on issues related to the areas of binocular vision and perception, to provide referral resource for other organizations and individuals interested in this area of optometric practice and vision science.
